Gyeongbokgung (Palace) |

Built in 1394 as the main palace of the
Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910) by its founder King
Taejo, it is the most comprehensive and grandest
of the five palaces of the period.

Changdeokgung (Palace) |

| |
|
Built in 1405, Changdeokgung Palace is the
second royal villa built after Gyeongbukgung
Palace. The rear garden named "Secret
Garden" was used as a place of rest by
the kings. The World Cultural Heritage Committee
in Napoli, Italy, also designated this Palace as a World Cultural
Heritage in December of 1997.

museum is a showcase of the lifestyle of the

The Namsan
Seoul Tower is located on the top of
Nam
Mountain, covered with pine trees.
The top observatory is
480m high above sea level, and the
view of Seoul becomes
greater at night. In clear weather,
you can also see the Han River,
coast of Incheon, and Songak
Mountain in North Korea.

of economic progress the Republic of Korea
has achieved. The Han River flows through
the center of Korea's capital, Seoul. There
