Justice Lee, Dong-Heub left Seoul on June 5 to visit the French Court of Cassation, French Council of State, European Court of Human Rights, United Nations Office at Geneva, etc. By visiting the Court of Cassation and Council of State in France, Justice Lee is expected to exchange views on the common interest and mutual cooperation relating to constitutional adjudication system in France and Korea by debating and questioning on issues, such as the composition, competence, division of work, binding force of decisions and system of normative control. In addition, Justice Lee will also visit the European Court of Justice and discuss matters related to the jurisdiction, adjudication procedures, jurisdictional overlap between the Court and Constitutional Courts of EU member countries, etc. He also plans to visit the United Nations Office at Geneva and attend a session of the U.N. Human Rights Committee to enhance understanding of the role of the U.N. in connection with the human rights.
