Utilizing world-class information and communication technology, the Constitutional Court of Korea is accelerating its informatization to deliver easy and convenient e-trial service for everyone, and to foster e-trial environment open to citizens.
Keeping up with the global age, cooperation and exchange on informatization of constitutional adjudication with other constitutional courts worldwide will improve efficiency in constitutional adjudication, boost the credibility of constitutional courts, and contribute to the improved quality of constitutional court decisions, by enabling consultation and reference of numerous information gained through expanding global exchange of information.
The Constitutional Court of Korea will continuously increase international exchange and cooperation over informatization of constitutional court services and information on constitutional adjudication.

  • IT Project for the Constitutional Court of Mongolia

    Apr 11, 2018

    ○ In July 2015, the Constitutional Courts of Korea and Mongolia singed an MOU for

    IT cooperation.

    ○ In April 2016, KOICA selected the IT project to be implemented in 2017.

    ○ In February 2018, the 1st IT training was carried out for the justices and staff of

    the Mongolian Constitutional Court.

  • IT Project for the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights

    ○ In May 2017, Justice Kim, Changjong visited the Court.

    ○ In October 2017, the President of the African Court requested IT support at the

    AACC Conference.

    ○ In March 2018, a project titled ‘A Feasibility Study on e-Court System for African

    Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights’ was selected as one of the 2018 IT consulting projects.

  • IT Project for Constitutional Chamber of Kyrgyzstan

    ○ In February 2017, the IT consulting project for the Constitutional Chamber of

    Kyrgyzstan was selected.

    ○ In September 2017, the Constitutional Court of Korea helped produce PCP for IT

    cooperation.

    ○ In November to December 2017, private IT experts visited the Chamber to report

    the ISP outcome.

    Uzbekistan was selected.

    ○ In September 2017, the Constitutional Court of Korea helped produce PCP for IT

  • Invitational IT Training

    ○ The IT training is held once a year from 2016

    ○ This program is aimed to provide training on advanced ICT and policies

    for constitutional courts’ ICT officers of the OECD Development Assistance Committee members by inviting them to Korea and narrow the informatization gap in the legal service of developing countries

    ○ Contents and Direction

    ● Sharing ICT status of each country and constitutional court and ICT of the

    Constitutional Court of Korea (CCK) to help the trainees strengthen the capacity to build ICT policy for their own courts

    ● Understanding the legal system for the ICT service of the CCK and its

    application of the ICT to the e-courtroom and e-trial and understanding development direction of the e-court system

    ● Visiting the CCK in person to witness the ICT service applied to the

    constitutional justice and discussing how each Courts can apply and develop it

    ● Understanding the ICT exchanges and cooperation the CCK pushes ahead and

    exploring ways to promote such exchanges and cooperation with the Korean government and CCK

    ○ The program invites around 25 IT personnel from AACC members as well as the

    equivalent institutes of the World every year.
