Established in 2011, the Constitutional Research Institute is a specialized institution dedicated to research and education on the Constitution and constitutional adjudication. Since our founding, we have been committed to constitutional research and education to ensure that the Constitution serves as living norms in the everyday lives of all citizens.

To that end, the Institute organizes various research activities, such as the publication of research reports on fundamental rights and other constitutional matters; the publication of the Journal of Constitutional Justice and the Developments in Constitutional Adjudication in Foreign Countries, and the hosting of domestic and international symposia for the growth of global constitutional justice.

Regarding educational activities, the Institute provides training courses for individuals from all walks of life―including law school students, public servants, and school teachers―to help them better understand the Constitution and constitutional adjudication. We also host events, such as the Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition and the Constitutional Education Competition.

The year 2025 reminded us of the importance of the Constitution. Despite social turmoil and division, our society was able to swiftly restore stability and unity, guided by the Constitution acting as a beacon.

Marking its 15th anniversary in 2026, the Institute is taking this opportunity to reflect on our research and educational activities to date and address any shortcomings. The Institute will work toward a robust framework of constitutional adjudication through active research on a range of issues in response to our rapidly changing society. The Institute will expand constitutional education to all citizens to deepen their understanding of constitutional values and principles, thereby putting them into practice.

We ask for your continued interest in and heartfelt support for the Institute.
