- Establishes basic research plans and develops research projects
- Conducts research on comparative constitutional law and constitutional adjudication systems from a mid- to long-term perspective
- Coordinates domestic and international exchanges and cooperation
Fundamental Rights Research Team
- Undertakes studies on individuals’ fundamental rights and duties and on other constitutional law matters
- Conducts research and studies on major constitutional issues
- Undertakes studies on the standards of constitutional review
Comparative Constitutional Research Team
- Conducts research on and analysis of the trends in constitutional interpretations and constitutional cases in foreign countries
- Conducts research on and analysis of foreign legislations, international statutes and laws related to constitutional adjudication
- Conducts research on and analysis of the international trends in emerging constitutional law issues
Instruction Team
- Provides legal education to the Constitutional Court staff, legal practitioners and law school students inside the Institute
- Provides legal education outside the Institute such as at the Central Officials Training Institute and Institute of Justice
- Establishes educational plans and develops textbooks
Planning and Administration Division
- Establishes basic operational plans for the Institute
- Enacts, amends and manages bylaws of the Institute
- Operates and manages the library on-site
- Publishes and distributes research reports
- Manages any and all administrative matters related to educational training
